Perception, for the longest time, has been regarded as a concept which alludes to spirituality. Perception is considered to be a profound concept. But of late, people have started opening up to the idea of perception from novel dimensions. It’s implications extend far beyond the ambit of spirituality and abstract discussion.
Technology, which stands on the tenets of reasoning and rationality is in hot pursuit of perception. The concept of cognitive computing is gaining a lot of impetus. Thought and brain mapping are emerging as a very promising branch of technology. Constant efforts are being made to imitate the human thought process.

Artificial intelligence is an excellent step towards it but AI basically bolsters the working of a human mind with its various subsidiaries. Cognitive computing is closer to human perception. It basis it’s functioning in the human ability to perceive and interpret a given situation. It is a means of mapping and influencing human perceptions.

The study of perceptions is a very dynamic subject. Its ambit is so vast that no mechanism or mapping technology has ever been able to seize it. With the right outlook, any problem can be deduced to a productive and plausible solution also, if a purview of our perspectives can be created to enhance our cognitive powers than I believe that it would be a very welcome thing.
Since technology has made unprecedented advancements in almost every sector, it would be interesting to see the manner in which complexities of the human mind can be mapped and harnessed.
